Meet Our Veterinary Team

Our team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff brings together decades of combined experience, a genuine love for animals, and a shared commitment to the honest, compassionate care that defines everything we do. Paula Foland, DVM

Owner & Veterinarian

Paula Foland, DVM, and Ron Foland, DVM, graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Together, they owned a mixed-animal practice in Wheatland, Wyoming. The Foland family moved to Weatherford, Texas, in 2008 to pursue Ron Foland’s love of horses.

Dr. Paula Foland has been in general small animal practice since 1993. In her spare time, she enjoys watching baseball, relaxing with her dog Bigs, and spending time with her grandkids.

Owner & Equine Veterinarian

Ron Foland, DVM, graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 alongside his wife, Dr. Paula Foland. After years of mixed-animal practice in Wyoming, Dr. Ron brought his family—and his passion for horses—to Weatherford, Texas in 2008.

Dr. Ron owns and operates his mobile equine clinic in and around the City of Weatherford, where he attends to the breeding work of some of the premier cutting mares in the industry.

Caleb Vaughan, DVM

Mobile Veterinary Surgeon

Foland Veterinary Services is proud to partner with mobile veterinary surgeon Caleb Vaughan, DVM, who visits our clinic by appointment to perform advanced orthopedic procedures and complex soft tissue surgeries. This partnership allows our patients to access a higher level of specialized surgical care—including TPLO surgery, fracture repair, and other complex orthopedic interventions—without the added stress of traveling to an outside specialty hospital. Dr. Vaughan works in close collaboration with our team to ensure seamless, coordinated care from pre-surgical planning through post-operative recovery.

Director of Operations

Mario joined Foland Veterinary Services in August of 2016 and has been a driving force behind the clinic's growth ever since. With more than 16 years of experience in the veterinary field, Mario brings a depth of knowledge and a tireless commitment to improving the clinic for the benefit of the entire team, its clients, and its patients. He works across all areas of the clinic, with a particular passion for parasitology and inventory management.

Mario deeply values the culture at Foland Veterinary Services—one grounded in family, compassion, and a never-give-up mentality. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, walking in the park while listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and continuing his education through veterinary articles. He shares his home with two Pomeranians, Blaze and Ozzy.

Director of Administration

Meghan has been part of the Foland Veterinary Services family since January 2015, bringing nearly two decades of veterinary experience to her leadership role. She began her career in veterinary medicine in 2004, starting in the kennels before working her way up through hands-on experience to become a well-rounded technician. She joined Foland Veterinary Services as a technician and transitioned into a management role in early 2016, where she has been leading and developing the team ever since.

Meghan graduated from Weatherford College's Veterinary Technician Assistant program and is deeply committed to continuing education—both for herself and for the team she leads. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys camping, hiking, and being in the mountains, along with refinishing furniture, scrapbooking, and spending time with friends and family. Her home is filled with the love of her pets, Libby and Wrangler.

Lead Client Service Representative & Veterinary Technician

Faith serves as both the Lead Client Service Representative and a Veterinary Technician at Foland Veterinary Services, where she combines her strong academic foundation in animal science with excellent client communication and patient care skills. Her dual role allows her to bridge the connection between pet owners and the clinical team, ensuring that every visit is both compassionate and efficient.

Faith's passion for animals extends well beyond the clinic. She and her husband, Titan, share their home with a lively group of dogs—Ares, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Bia, Cora, and Atlas—as well as a number of cats named Zeus, Selene, Percy, Hades, and Freya. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and shopping, all of which reflect her vibrant and engaging personality.

Veterinary Technician

Jackie has been an integral member of the FVS team since 2017, bringing a strong background in biomedical and laboratory sciences to her role as a veterinary technician. Her academic training provides a deep understanding of animal physiology and diagnostic processes, which she applies daily to ensure the highest standard of care for each patient.

Outside the clinic, Jackie is a passionate photographer and the creative mind behind JD Photography. She enjoys capturing moments in nature, which pairs perfectly with her love for hiking and the outdoors. When she is not exploring new trails or immersed in a good fantasy novel, Jackie can be found spending time with her two beloved dogs, Mickey Blue and Zuzu.

Veterinary Technician

Megan joined the FVS team in 2022 as a Certified Veterinary Assistant and quickly became a valued member of the clinic's patient care team. Her enthusiasm for animal health and hands-on approach to veterinary medicine reflect her commitment to supporting both patients and their owners with compassion and professionalism.

Beyond her work in the clinic, Megan enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She often hikes and runs with her three dogs—Bentley, Ramzi, and Mercedes—and enjoys tackling home improvement projects in her free time. Her household also includes her cat, Maserati, who provides a daily reminder of why she loves caring for animals of all kinds.

Veterinary Technician

Emily has been part of the FVS team since 2021 and contributes to the clinic's daily operations with a strong work ethic and a deep affection for animals. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, she is dedicated to supporting the veterinary team and ensuring that each patient receives attentive, high-quality care.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking, as well as expressing her creativity through crafting. Her four dogs—Laia, Chewy, Luke, and Dish—keep her active and constantly remind her of the joy that comes from caring for animals both in and out of the clinic.

Veterinary Technician & Lead Kennel Technician

Karla joined Foland Veterinary Services in May of 2023, bringing her enthusiasm for animal care and an active academic background to her dual role as a Veterinary Technician and Lead Kennel Technician. She attended Weatherford High School and is currently pursuing her studies at Tarleton State University—a reflection of her drive to continue growing in the veterinary field.

Outside of the clinic, Karla enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything that gets her outdoors. She shares her home with three pets—Leroy, Lua, and Avery—and loves spending time with her family whenever she can.

Remote Receptionist

Sarah joined Foland Veterinary Services in January of 2019 and has been a warm, reliable presence for clients ever since. She holds an Associate of Arts from Weatherford College and a certificate in Veterinary Technician Assisting, and is currently enrolled in the LVT program at Weatherford College with the goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In addition to her receptionist duties, Sarah assists the small animal doctors with various procedures around the clinic.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys playing with her two Australian Shepherds, Ivie and Maple, tending to her garden, and spending quality time with her husband, Kade.

Receptionist

Autumn has been in the veterinary space for two years now, starting off mainly in large animal and now focusing on small animals. Autumn loves learning new things. We never really stop learning, and I believe when it comes to Veterinary medicine, continued education is essential when working with animals. In her free time, Autumn enjoys painting, skateboarding, and swimming.

Kennel Assistant

Katelyn is new to Veterinary Medicine. She is currently attending Tarleton State University to attain her Bachelor of Animal Science degree. Her goal is always to create a safe, supportive environment where both the patients and their owners feel completely at ease. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors with her dogs Ava, Grizzly, and Nash.
